During the five or six years that I had been running a PBeM. I have learned a few things that make the PBeM experience run a little smoother. Mostly this list of rules is for GM's but it certainly is helpful for players to know. Because if they do, it makes it easier for the GM.

So here are Xip's Rules for PBeM GM's


PBeM Rule #1
PBeM players never think the way anyone else on the PBeM think, and never know what you are talking about.

PBeM Rule #2
Provide as many details as you can whenever possible.

PBeM Rule #3
Keep track of the timing of events. Because the players wont.

PBeM Rule #4
If you don't know where the PC's are. Find out, Or tell them where they are. When using Rule #4 keep Rules #2 and #3 in mind.

PBeM Rule #5
Read all your backlogged posts before you make a post. Something may have happened that makes your next reply irrelevant or more relevant
